Excellence and Technology abound in new ECCO golf footwear

Scandinavian company Ecco continues to deliver the quality they have become known for in their current line of ECCO golf shoes. With all different sizes and colors available in their men's styles, technology and comfort abound. The Ecco golf shoes sport different technologies that can help enhance a golfer’s game. Several styles include Ecco’s patented water resistant Hydromax leather keeping feet dry while venturing through the rough on that par 5.  The process of water resisting the shoes isn’t just on the outside, but throughout the leather for longer lasting effectiveness.

For golfers who prefer to walk during their round of golf, ECCO shoes have “Direct Inject” technology creating a lightweight but strong outside. The direct inject feature provides stability and cushioning allowing for extended time on one’s feet without becoming fatigued. Since the soles of these shoes are built with out glue or stitching, they prove to be long lasting – perfect for many rounds of comfortable golfing.

The Ecco golf shoes were designed with golfers in mind. Each pair includes the Ecco swing stabilizer providing an internal system that helps stabilize heels during every golf swing. Ecco has also eliminated a distraction during the golf game by providing each pair of shoes with waxed laces that will stay tied and not throw off the rhythm of the game. If golfers prefer to wear a spikeless shoe, Ecco also has those available. Still providing traction and grip, these shoes won’t create divots or scratches on sensitive greens.

Colors and varieties of Ecco golf shoes seem endless. Men’s styles range from the Classic saddle to the Flexor model to a casual tennis shoe style of golf shoe. Colors of the shoes range from the more conservative but chic white and black combinations, to brown (all colors of brown and white). Ecco golf shoes also provide a more contemporary vibe of a mix of reds (lava), blues, and black and tans for the shoes as well.

The women’s styles of Ecco golf shoes are just as appealing. Several styles sport a classic wing buckle, to traditional laces, to a Velcro strap look. Great bold colors here as well including pink, blacks, tans, and silvers. Ecco golf styles range from $110 to $430. Features and styles vary with each pair of shoe allowing the golfer to choose the perfect Ecco shoes for their golf game.

Guidelines That Veteran Golf Players

Most of the people do not realize that when playing on those green hills enjoying a beautiful Saturday morning there are still rules that need to be followed. You can’t just show up, hit some balls into some holes and call it a day. There are rules of golf. There are even long, descriptive, detailed books about these rules. Well, I will make it easy for you. I am giving you the five basic etiquette guidelines to follow when playing golf. Guidelines that veteran players need to brush up on as much as beginners need to know.

Tee Times - Most of the time, you may want to reserve a tee time to arrive at the golf course to play. When you and your golf buddies schedule a tee time, actually show up for the tee time. There is nothing ruder than making an appointment and not sticking to it. If your group misses your tee time, you could lose your spot and have to wait around for another opening. In fact, a good rule of thumb will be to arrive earlier than your scheduled time. This way you can warm up by hitting a few balls at the driving range.

Equipment - Make sure you have your equipment with you. Borrowing clubs is not necessarily frowned upon but you do not want to bother your companions by continuously asking to borrow their clubs. When arriving at the golf course, make sure you have all the clubs you need, not to exceed fourteen. Also, have enough tees and balls with you.

Dress - Check on your golf course’s dress code. Most courses do require certain attire. A button up shirt with Khaki shorts will fit the attire at most courses but you should ensure that such is the case in your particular course. Golf shoes and gloves are up to the player normally but you should check before going without anything. Be sure to have extra loose bills on you for tipping purposes.

Course - These beautiful courses don’t deserve you coming in and being all rough and rude to it. Follow the rules of the golf cart. Do not drive where you aren’t supposed to, and especially keep them away from greens and hazards. Be sure to repair any divots and ball marks on the green. Never take a divot on a practice swing. And, finally, rake all sand traps to erase footprints and damage to area where your ball was.

Pace Appropriately - Having to wait on people is annoying. Making people wait on you is rude. Watch the game. Be ready for your turn. Wave faster groups around you if you are moving too slow. Keep pace with the group ahead of you. Do not waste too much time looking for a lost ball. If you want to keep to the five minutes allowed, wave groups behind you ahead so you will not hold them up.

Golf can be a fun, relaxing way to spend a morning, afternoon or even a full day. You can enjoy that time alone or with a few of your friends or coworkers. Just remember that golf is a game and just as in most games there are rules to follow. Remember the golden rule? Yeah, keep to that.

Keeping Your Golf Warm This Winter

As winter is in full swing and probably one of the coldest for a while, a lot of people do tend to want to stay indoors a lot. It just feels very sad to get out of the house and go and play a game of golf. But this is not the only harmful problem the cold weather brings. It can also end up affecting your overall game because things such as the grip on the golf clubs will become a bit of a problem. Below are a few tips that will help you out when you are looking to better your game in the winter.

Keeping your hands at the right temperature.
The game of golf is mainly about your hands, you have to use them to pick up the ball and strike the ball, so make sure they are the correct temperature and not too cold. As you could potentially lose a lot of feel on the shorter shots.

Keep your spikes in tip top shape
This is very important as it could affect your strike, especially if the weather is rainy and windy. Make sure that your spikes are not worn down.

Take a bigger Club
This is one of the most important tips as when you strike the ball in the winter it does not travel as speedy as it would do in the hot months. So get yourself a bigger club that is suitable for the winter and will assist you to get the best shots.

Keep it Dry
If you want to get the best grip and the best contact when you strike a ball then keep your clubs and putters dry at all times. They are bound to get wet and moist in the winter months. So to avoid disappointment in your game you should prepare well before.

Do not just use one Golf Ball
As already mentioned, we know that balls travel further in heat. So try not to use just one single ball during your game. Heating up the ball will make them go a lot more further.

There are many more tips which can be used but the above should set you up for a good game of golf during the winter months. Remember to keep on practicing your game, I see a lot of people stop during the chilly months and then when the summer comes they become rusty and start losing their skill set.

How To Become A Master Golfer

Golf is beautiful game with a simple objective, drive the ball into the hole. But as simple as this objective is, carrying it out well enough to be a champion is not that easy or simple. Except you know what it takes to be a master golfer.

It All Starts In The Mind
Being a master golfer depends first on how you think. You have to believe in yourself and believe you are capable of being  a master of the game. This may look insignificant but it’s very true. It has been discovered that people who believe in themselves in sports and other endeavors in life do better than others who are plagues by self doubt , low self esteem and lack of self confidence. So your journey to being a master golfer has to start in your mind. Do you believe you can do it? If you do, the initial setbacks and obstacles that come with learning new things or mastering a game will not deter you from your goal of being a master golfer.

Be Willing To Learn
To be a master golfer you must be willing to learn. Do not think that you can not learn from players lesser than you but along with superior players the latter may have something for you to grasp. Learning may take different forms but a very important form is taking golf lessons.

Private golf lessons are available everywhere if you can afford it. Main benefit of private golf lessons is that you get first hand coaching with experts who know the game thoroughly. And since it’s a one on one thing the lessons are tailored to meet your individual needs. But if you can’t afford private golf lessons, you can go for group golf lessons.

In Group golf lessons you get to learn to master the game in groups. This gives you an advantage to learn what it takes to master the game, meet and interact with other aspiring golfers at moderate cost to you.

If  for one reason or another you can’t take private or group golf lessons, you may have to do it yourself .You’ll have to do the research for yourself; using the internet, asking golfers you know or even walking up to those you don’t know for tips and putting their advice and tips into your game.

No matter what approach to learning you choose, the most important this is that you must be willing to learn and do whatever it takes to make your being a master golfer dream come alive.

Practice! Practice!! Practice!!!
Though being a master of the game starts in the mind, and gets developed in learning it doesn’t end there, it is perfected in practice. No matter how self confident you are and no matter how much lessons you take, if you don’t have time to implement what you’ve learned and perfect it in practice by having a very strong and disciplined practice schedule you can’t be a master golfer. Golf s a game that requires strong discipline and it’s what you’ve learnt to do the hard way during practice that you will do easily when it matters most on the course.

Logo Golf Balls

Logo Golf Balls

A golf ball is a ball that is designed to be used in the game of golf. A regular golf ball typically weighs about 1.620 oz or 45.93 grams. It has a diameter of 1.680 inches or 42.67 mm. The typical golf ball will be covered by around 300 to 450 dimples. This is to help in the aerodynamics of the ball. The dimples on the ball are symmetrical and help the ball in its flight. The golf balls are divided on the basis of their construction, into three types, namely two-, three-, or the four- piece covers. The four- piece cover golf balls are the most expensive.

How Pro Golfers Execute Their Winning Swings?

Developing the perfect golf swing takes time and tons of practice. It also pays to take note of how pro golfers execute their winning swings. By taking note of the following tips and taking time to work them out, you will surely be enjoying tournament successes in no time.

1. Ask any pro golfer, and he or she will tell you that the power it takes to get that ball flying does not come from the arms alone. Use your entire body to achieve maximum power. If you are used to fuelling the golf club with your arms, wrist and hands, then you might struggle at first trying to employ the rest of your body. Practice hitting the ball with using your torso and legs. Once you get the hang of swinging the club with your entire body, you will notice that you are sending that ball flying with more consistency and accuracy.

2. Swivel your shoulders perfectly each time you do a backswing. Your right forearm should be parallel to your spine and your left wrist is flat. To ensure you are doing it the right way, your elbows and arms should form a triangle. Make sure you got this effective position pat at the top of your swing – you are guaranteed a perfectly solid hit, and a more accurate one.

3.  Many amateurs fail at making a solid hit because of two reasons. First, the right way of pivoting the wrist is done too late during the backswing because the takeaway is likely to be too low to the ground. Second, achieving a bad posture by swinging the club too far during the backswing, thinking this is the right way to gain power. However, taking note of a few things will help eradicate these flaws. Make sure a 45-degree angle exists between your left arm and the shaft of the club at setup. Your hands should remain as close to the ground as possible during the takeaway, while moving the head of the club upwards rapidly. Notice how your left arm is parallel to the ground and the shaft is perpendicular to it? This is about enough to prevent you from swinging your armstoo far at the backswing; thus, putting off bad posture and reverse pivot.

4. Golf is an outdoor game, so it’s best of you are able to practice chipping outdoors. However, one is tempted to hit chips indoors from time to time. You can perfect your chipping with the help of a wooden rod or a busted club shaft. Get the hang of your chipping technique – just make sure that your left wrist remains solid as the club passes through the area of impact. The rod or shaft you are using will hit your left side should your left wrist give way during the impact. Practice is the key to mastering your chipping.

5. It is not rare to find even pro golfers getting caught red handed when they lose flex in their back legs trying for distance. Inconsistent swings constantly take the success out of any game of golf. It’s best if you can view your posture in a full-length mirror when you practice your swings from time to time. Start with the setup position, hold it then look at the mirror. Do the backswing, hold it and observe your posture. This will help you determine your postural flaws during your golf swing.
